UHS VNU-HCM MBBS Fees 2026: Tuition, Budget and Payment Questions

For UHS VNU-HCM, the safest fee answer is not a single headline number: the university publicly shows a historical domestic fee roadmap, while an Indian applicant needs a current, written international offer. Budget the complete six-year route only after the university confirms tuition, accommodation, clinical charges, insurance, visa support and refund terms.

Use the site's UHS VNU-HCM university guide, hostel and student-life guide, fee structure page and NMC validity guide as starting points. They help organise questions; they are not a substitute for a university-issued invoice.

What the official UHS pages establish

The official Doctor of Medicine programme page describes a full-time undergraduate Doctor of Medicine programme lasting six years. It identifies the programme as Health Science, explains that the qualification is a Doctor of Medicine degree, and describes integrated modules, problem-based learning, pre-clinical practice and clinical internship.

The same page says applicants may include people who completed the Vietnamese high-school curriculum or an equivalent foreign programme. That is useful programme-level evidence, but it does not replace an intake-specific decision on an Indian student's Class 12 subjects, marks, passport, NEET position, English ability or document format.

The university's official fee page publishes a fee roadmap for domestic regular programmes. For Medicine, the page lists VND 49 million for 2022-23, VND 55.2 million for 2023-24, VND 62.2 million for 2024-25 and VND 70 million for 2025-26. Treat this as a public historical/contextual reference, not as the 2026-27 fee for an Indian student. The page does not, by itself, provide a current international invoice, hostel package or refund contract.

Fee planning: separate confirmed, indicative and missing lines

Make a three-column worksheet before comparing UHS VNU-HCM with another option:

Cost lineWhat can be checked publiclyWhat the applicant still needs in writing
TuitionThe domestic 2025-26 Medicine roadmap is VND 70 million/yearInternational rate, currency, annual revision and six-year total
Registration or admissionThe university programme page confirms the course structureApplication fee, seat confirmation fee and whether each is refundable
Clinical yearsThe programme page refers to clinical internshipHospital, transport, instruments, insurance and examination charges
HostelPublic campus material can show facilitiesRoom allocation, tariff, deposit, utilities, meals and supervision
ImmigrationThe university can issue admission documentsSponsorship, visa category, residence registration and renewal costs
Exit or delayGeneral contract questions are predictableRefund, deferral, withdrawal, visa refusal and course-change terms

Do not convert a domestic Vietnamese fee into an international quote using an informal exchange rate. The amount may be different because of programme status, service charges, partner arrangements, payment timing or additional support. Ask for the invoice in the currency you will actually pay and retain the bank advice.

A realistic six-year budget model

The calculation below is a template, not a quotation:

Six-year budget = tuition + hostel or rent + food + local transport + insurance + visa and residence + flights + books and equipment + emergency reserve

Ask the university to identify which items are included in tuition. A fee may cover teaching but exclude clinical uniforms, health checks, translation, document legalisation, laboratory materials, hospital transport or graduation charges. If a counsellor presents one “complete package”, request a line-by-line breakup and the university's beneficiary details.

For currency risk, record both the invoiced amount and the date on which each instalment is due. A family paying in India may face bank fees and exchange-rate movement even when the university's local-currency fee is unchanged. Keep a reserve for the first year rather than committing the entire six-year amount before the refund policy is clear.

Also ask whether a fee revision applies to the student after admission or only to a future intake. A written answer should identify the academic year, the programme code and the person authorised to issue the invoice. If the offer is routed through a representative, ask for the university's confirmation of that representative and for a direct university contact. This simple paper trail is especially important when an advertised package combines tuition with services that the university itself does not control.

Eligibility, NEET and documents

The usual first screen is the student's Class 12 or equivalent qualification, science subjects, marks, passport and medical fitness documents. UHS VNU-HCM's official programme page refers to an equivalent foreign high-school programme, but the admissions office must decide how an Indian transcript is assessed.

Send a scanned document pack and ask for a written decision that names the programme and intake. Request confirmation on:

  • Class 12 subjects and minimum marks;
  • whether predicted results are accepted;
  • the university's NEET requirement, if any;
  • passport validity and photograph format;
  • medical fitness, vaccination and insurance documents;
  • translation, notarisation or legalisation requirements; and
  • the deadline by which originals must be produced.

NEET admission rules and Indian licensing rules should not be merged. Even where a university does not require NEET to issue an offer, the student must review the current Indian framework that applies to foreign medical graduates and to the examination or registration stage.

Payment verification before sending money

A genuine offer should be internally consistent. The student name, passport number, programme, start date, fee currency and beneficiary should match across the offer letter, invoice and payment instructions. Before paying, ask the university to confirm the beneficiary by an official email or phone number found on its own website.

Use this payment checklist:

  1. Confirm the exact university and Doctor of Medicine programme.
  2. Ask for the current fee schedule and a signed offer or contract.
  3. Check whether the payment is tuition, deposit, application fee or service fee.
  4. Ask what is refundable if admission, visa or document assessment fails.
  5. Confirm the bank account is held by the institution or named authorised entity.
  6. Save the invoice, receipt, email trail and bank advice.
  7. Do not pay cash or a personal account without independently verified authority.

The site's fee payment and refund checklist covers the same discipline across Vietnam offers.

Clinical training, language and recognition

The official programme page describes early clinical scenarios and a hospital-based, community-engaged model. That is useful programme information, but it does not tell a parent which named hospitals, wards, supervisors, patient-language arrangements or internship sites apply to a particular intake.

Ask for the curriculum, clinical rotation calendar, hospital agreements, student-to-supervisor arrangements and internship plan. Confirm whether clinical records, patient histories and logbooks may be in Vietnamese. A student can study academic subjects in English and still need Vietnamese for safe patient communication.

The current NMC FMGL FAQ states conditions including a minimum foreign medical course duration of 54 months, English as the medium of instruction and theory, practical and clinical training equivalent to Indian MBBS. The NMC rules page should be checked for newer notices. A WDOMS listing, where available, is only one due-diligence input and is not an NMC registration guarantee.

Limitations note - checked 18 August 2026

UHS VNU-HCM tuition, international admissions, hostel allocation, clinical sites, language arrangements, visa or residence steps and NMC requirements can change. The official fee page reviewed for this article publishes a domestic roadmap through 2025-26, not a guaranteed 2026-27 international invoice. Reconfirm every fee and contractual term with the named university before payment.

If you want help organising the documents, use the site's contact page or WhatsApp counselling flow. Share the official offer and fee sheet. Counselling can structure questions, but it cannot guarantee admission, visa approval, accommodation, registration or examination outcomes.

Frequently asked questions

What are the UHS VNU-HCM MBBS fees for Indian students in 2026?

UHS VNU-HCM's public fee page shows a 2025-26 domestic tuition roadmap of VND 70 million per academic year for its Medicine programme. That is not a published 2026-27 international-student invoice. Ask the university or authorised admissions office for the exact fee, currency, instalment schedule and inclusions for your intake.

Is UHS VNU-HCM a six-year medical programme?

The university's official Doctor of Medicine programme page describes a six-year, full-time undergraduate programme with theory, medical skills, pre-clinical practice and clinical internship. Confirm the exact curriculum and graduation conditions in the offer documents issued for your intake.

Does UHS VNU-HCM require NEET for admission?

Admission and Indian licensing are separate questions. The site's partner data lists NEET as not generally required for UHS VNU-HCM admission, but the student must check the current Indian rules and the university's written admission conditions for the relevant year.

Can I pay UHS VNU-HCM fees in Indian rupees?

Do not assume this. The offer should state the invoicing currency, beneficiary name, bank details, permitted payment channel, deadline, charges, refund terms and what happens if the visa or admission condition is not met. Never pay a personal account because an agent requests it.

Is UHS VNU-HCM taught in English?

Ask for a year-by-year statement covering lectures, examinations, practicals, clinical logbooks and internship. An English programme label does not prove that every patient interaction or clinical record will be in English; Vietnamese may be needed in hospitals.

Does UHS VNU-HCM have a hostel for international students?

Public material describes the university and campus system but does not establish a guaranteed current international hostel tariff or room allocation. Request a written hostel offer with room type, deposit, utilities, meals, distance, supervision and refund conditions.

Does UHS VNU-HCM guarantee NMC registration in India?

No university or counsellor can guarantee Indian registration, FMGE/NExT results or a particular internship outcome. Verify the exact course, English medium, clinical training, foreign registration eligibility and internship against current NMC requirements before payment.
