Vietnam's current partner data gives a tuition screen of roughly $4,100 to $8,214 per year, with university-specific schedules and six-year totals. Families must add accommodation, food, visa and residence costs, flights, insurance, books, instruments, currency movement and an emergency reserve.
Egypt should not be assigned a single price from a social-media post. The official Study in Egypt portal provides access to Egyptian higher-education institutions, programmes and contact details. Use it to identify the exact medical school, then ask for a current international fee invoice showing currency, duration, annual revisions, taxes, deposits, hostel, clinical or examination charges and refund terms.
Build both budgets in the same worksheet:
- tuition and compulsory university charges;
- hostel or rent, deposit, utilities and meals;
- visa, residence, medical screening and insurance;
- flights, local travel and annual India visits;
- books, laptop, instruments and language support;
- internship, examination and licensing preparation costs;
- the cost of repeating a term or extending accommodation.
Do not call one route cheaper until the currencies, course duration and excluded costs are normalised.
Admission and NEET questions
Vietnam partner universities generally review Class 12 subjects, marks, age, passport and supporting documents. The NEET position is not identical across the network: some university data does not list NEET for admission, while Dai Nam's published route has a separate mandatory NEET rule. Egyptian admission is also institution- and programme-specific. The official Study in Egypt platform is useful for discovering the authorised route, but the university must decide whether the Indian Class 12 qualification is accepted, which subjects and percentage are required, whether an interview or English test applies, and whether there is a central application or direct institutional step.
Before paying, preserve the offer letter, academic equivalence decision, fee schedule, programme code, refund terms and the email that answers NEET. A counsellor's verbal summary should never replace the university document.
English, Arabic and clinical communication
English-medium lectures are only one part of a medical degree. In Vietnam, ask whether patient histories, consent, case sheets, ward instructions, examinations and internship records are in English or Vietnamese. In Egypt, ask the same questions and add how Arabic is taught or supported when students communicate with patients and hospital staff.

- the semester-by-semester curriculum;
- the date clinical postings start and their total hours;
- named teaching hospitals and affiliation evidence;

For Vietnam, check the university's legal status, current programme documents, WDOMS record and evidence from the competent Vietnamese education authority. WDOMS is a directory and not an accreditation or Indian registration decision.
For Egypt, the official Study in Egypt portal says it provides current information on Egyptian higher-education institutions and programmes accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education. Use that as a starting point, then obtain the university's authorisation, medical faculty details, curriculum, clinical affiliations and degree wording. The Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities explains that foreign-degree equivalency is a separate, case-by-case process; that is a reminder not to confuse listing, accreditation and professional licensing.
For both routes, keep copies of:
- the legal university name and campus address;
- programme approval or accreditation evidence;
- WDOMS record and directory disclaimer;
- full curriculum and clinical schedule;
- internship or practical-training documents;
- official fee invoice and refund policy;
- visa and accommodation instructions.
Student life, safety and family support
Vietnam's partner cities range from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to smaller regional campuses. Egypt's experience can vary widely between Cairo, Alexandria, Mansoura and other locations. Ask about airport pickup, hostel security, women students' support, emergency contacts, transport to hospitals, local SIM or banking help, residence renewals and what happens during holidays.
